Dimension Plywood specializes in custom architectural wood veneer products including: veneered panels, wood doors and flexible veneer sheets. We are unique - why? - because we work almost exclusively with the woodwork/millwork subcontractor vs. a “middle-man” distribution network. This allows us to collaborate directly with our customers on everything from providing suggestions, value engineering, and cutting costs to turn-around time; all aimed at providing the best overall value in quality, service and cost. Our central location and solid relationship with carriers allows for convenient nationwide shipping.

PRODUCTS

Architectural Plywood & Panels

We can manufacture panels from 1.5mm to 2.25” thick (we even build custom cores when necessary) in sizes from 4x8 to 5x12. We also make “cross grain” panels in 8x4 to 12x5 sizes. Our specialty is blueprint, cut-to-size and sequence matched panels. Additionally, we do sketch faces (diamonds, reverse diamonds, sunbursts, inlays, logos, etc), burls and crotches, both veneer banded and solid wood banded panels, and have Finishing services available.

Architectural Doors

We added architectural wood doors to our product line in 2017 to complement our fine line of wood veneer products. We manufacture AWI premium level Flush wood doors and Stile & Rail doors in both Non-rated and Fire Rated built to Warnock Hersey standards. We can do custom doors in any size up to 5’ x 12’ and 2-1/4” thick and make them in sequence with adjacent panels or as stand-alone doors in any type of face construction - sketch faces, inlaid reveals, glass lights, louvers etc. Priming and finishing services are available as well. We also offer value-added door machining in reasonable lead-times based on our customer’s detailed machining schedules. Our experienced office team can assist with takeoff service, coordinating hardware, and provide drawings for customer approval.

Finishing

Dimension Hardwoods Plywood and Door Division completed a 17,300 SF addition to their facility in June 2023, bringing their total manufacturing capacity to almost 61,000 SF. Half of the new space is being used to begin custom finishing of wood doors and the veneer department has been relocated into the other half. The relocation of the veneer department opened up approx 4,500 SF for additional raw material inventory to support growth as well 3,500 SF to develop a “Specials” department. The Specials area is dedicated to increasing our capacity of building fire rated stile & rail doors, installing glass, lite kits, louvers, sidelites, and other custom wood components, as well as making rim banded panels, custom table tops, custom profiles & wood bead. This is made possible by Dimension adding specific woodworking equipment in this area such as a moulder, rip saw, shaper, de-nib sander, panel clamp racks, and more.

The ability to do finishing in-house, under one roof with all of our manufacturing will benefit our customers in a number of ways including lessening of finishing labor at the woodworking customer facility, reducing the number of times doors are handled in the process and shortening our lead times when finishing is included.

Specialty

We can layup specialty products (laminate and metal laminates) and can glue to substrates such as metal or acrylic.

We are FSC® Certified and we take our responsibility to the environment seriously. Dimension Plywood has a history of responsible management of our wood resources and promotes the use of certified wood products with materials from well-managed forests.
